The Spring After School Sports Playgorund Programs are in full swing and being offered at geographically selected school campuses throughout El Monte . The program is centered around, but not restricted to, seasonal team and individual sports. Our philosophy of "Athletes First, Winning second" is reflected in the extensive and continual training of Recreation Staff in preparation for each season. We follow a "no cut" policy focusing our efforts on teaching responsibility, sportsmanship, game rules, fundamental skills and strategy. Care is given to teach children how to concentrate on the things they can control and to develop a healthy attitude toward hard work (practice), team concepts and positive competition. Our objective is to implement positive values and principles from which participants can develop confidence, emotional self-control and respect for themselves and others.
