The adult sports program is looking for new teams ,or people interested in playing in the Tuesday Night Softball Masters League (40+ softball). If you are 40 or over and feel it's time to get yourself back into shape, don't hesitate give us a call at (626) 580-2216 and ask for the Adult Sports office.

2010 Adult Golf Leagues

The El Monte Community Services Department will be hosting its annual 2010 Adult Golf League. The Golf League is scheduled to begin the week of March 8, 2010. Golf matches will be played by two person teams on local regulation courses. Entry fees include mailing of weekly standings and adjusted handicaps, golfer's breakfast to be held on June 2, 2010, League awards and the Byron E. Thompson Tournament scheduled June 5, 2010. Registration applications will be accepted through February 18, 2010. Enrollment is limited and entry fee deadline is Thursday, March 4, 2010. Entry fee is $178 per golfer (two person teams) Please make checks payable to the City of El Monte. Call the Community Services Department for league availability. Registration for Fall 2010 season Leagues are now being taken.

We are currently accepting team applications for the Fall 2010 adult softball, basketball, and soccer leagues. The cost for team registration is $400 per team and league games are set to begin in November. Team managers must fill out a team application along with a $40 deposit to secure a place in the league. Registration is based on a first come, first served basis until leagues are filled. Contact the league office immediately to find out about league availability.

Softball games are played on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights as well as on Sunday mornings at Mt. View High School , Mt. View Park and Pioneer Park . Basketball games are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at Lambert Park 's Bernie Boomer Gymnasium. We offer 6' & under, 6'02" & under, 40 and older and open leagues. Soccer leagues are played at Mt. View Park on Mondays (Coed) and Thursdays (Men).

The programs include 8-10 regular season games and lasts roughly 12 weeks. Championship team t-shirts are awarded to each individual on the first and second place teams. Each first and second place team will also receive a plaque as a "team award". We also award weekly "Player of the Week" certificates for all leagues. All schedules, stats and standings are computerized and posted daily on the website.

Only Amateur Softball Association (ASA) certified slow pitch bats may be used for use in the City of El Monte softball leagues. The list of banned bats in El Monte is listed below. These bats are illegal and may not be used in any El Monte programs. In addition to the bats listed below you will be able to find a more up to date list on the ASA website.
